A new Nigerian Army barracks being constructed in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, under President Bola Tinubu’s administration is 95 per cent complete, according to the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare.

Dare disclosed this in a post on X after visiting the project site alongside a section of the media, describing the development as part of the Federal Government’s efforts to improve military welfare and strengthen the country’s security architecture.

He said the barracks, approved by President Tinubu, would accommodate about 900 housing units fitted with modern facilities and amenities for Nigerian Army personnel.

According to him, the project reflects the administration’s commitment to improving the living conditions of military personnel while providing better support for troops involved in tackling insecurity across the country.

The Ikere-Ekiti barracks project is among the infrastructure developments highlighted by the Tinubu administration as part of its commitment to strengthening the armed forces and improving military accommodation.
