Governor Ademola Adeleke has approved the members of the sub-committees for the Osun State Presidential Campaign Council for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The sub-committees draw leaders and members from the rainbow coalition in the state, comprising the Accord Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to a statement by the Governor’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, all factions of the coalition are included, to put all groups on the same page towards mobilisation for the President’s re-election.

At the top of the structure is the Central Coordinating Committee, headed by Governor Adeleke himself, with former Governors Bisi Akande and Gboyega Oyetola, Senator Iyiola Omisore, Senator Ajibola Basiru, Mr Muniru Bola Oyebamiji, Accord Chairman Pastor Victor Akande, APC Chairman Sooko Taju Lawal and PDP Chairman Hon. The election machinery will be driven by the Election Planning and Monitoring Committee, also chaired by Governor Adeleke, and the Campaign Planning and Strategies Committee, chaired by Mr Gboyega Alabi, while the Finance, Fundraising and Logistics Committee, also under the governor, will handle funding and logistics.

Mobilisation will be handled across several fronts. The Women Mobilisation Committee will be led by Alhaja Kudirat Fakokunde, supported by an Elders/Advisory Group under Yeye Dupe Adeleke Sanni, while the Youth and Student Affairs Committee will be chaired by Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun.

Kunle Adegoke SAN, and the Administration and Secretariat Coordination Committee by Hon. Ajibola Famurewa.

Governor Adeleke charged the sub-committees to launch into action to meet the target of massive delivery for the President, while commending all coalition partners for uniting for the presidential project.

“I met Mr President recently and I updated him about our preparation for the presidential poll. I have Mr President’s nod to assure all coalition partners and Osun people that all required steps will be taken to address outstanding issues ahead of the elections,” the governor was quoted as saying.

“Mr President is fully abreast of our hopes and aspirations and he is determined to address them as quickly as possible. Specifically, we should be assured that the local government matter will soon be sorted out.

“I therefore charge leaders of the sub-committees and their members to set to work immediately. We must deliver massively,” he added.
