Farida Jimoh has recounted the traumatic moments following the killing of her brother, Abdulsamad Jimoh, alleging that military men stormed their father’s residence and carried out the attack, leaving behind destruction and confusion.
She spoke during an interview on Trust TV while reacting to the incident, which has sparked widespread concern and calls for a full investigation. Farida described the immediate aftermath of the shooting, explaining how she became aware of the incident and the distressing scene that greeted her.
Narrating her experience, she said, “When I came downstairs, I was perceiving the smell of gunshots like smoke. Then we were here. The first question I asked was, ‘where is my brother’. They now dragged me outside and were showing me the broken barb wire, broken windows and the rest.” Her account paints a vivid picture of the chaos and damage left in the wake of the attack.
Farida said the smell of gunfire lingered in the air as she tried to understand what had happened. She expressed shock at the level of destruction within the compound, noting that parts of the house had been damaged, including the perimeter fence and windows.
