The All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticised the African Democratic Congress (ADC) following the party’s reaction to a court judgment involving its leadership, accusing it of undermining the judiciary and making what it described as baseless allegations.
In a press statement dated November 6, 2026, and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC urged the opposition party to address its internal crisis rather than attack the ruling party and the judiciary.
The statement, titled *“APC to ADC – Go Sort Out Your Internal Mess, Quit Your Senseless Rants,”* said the ADC had repeatedly accused the APC of influencing the judiciary whenever court decisions did not favour it.
“Every time a court decides against the Senator David Mark-led factional African Democratic Congress (ADC), they accuse the All Progressives Congress (APC) of collusion and deprecate the judiciary,” the statement read.

The APC further argued that the ADC’s reaction to unfavourable court decisions amounted to an attack on judicial independence, adding that the party should respect the rule of law.
It stated that the ADC’s desire to win power and govern Nigeria did not give it the authority to disregard the judiciary or undermine democratic institutions.
“The ADC touts its desire to win power and govern democratic Nigeria without any iota of regard for the authority and independence of the judiciary,” the statement added.
The ruling party also accused the ADC of portraying itself as a victim of political persecution while allegedly failing to address its internal leadership disagreements.
According to the APC, the court’s decision was based on the proper exercise of judicial authority and should not be interpreted as an attempt to frustrate the opposition party.
The statement further maintained that the judiciary should not be blamed for decisions that do not favour a political party, warning against what it described as attempts to discredit the institution.
