The Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) has announced that its 26th National Women’s Conference will hold from October 26 to 28, 2026, in Lagos.
The First Lady of Lagos State and Chairperson of COWLSO, Mrs Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, disclosed this on Thursday at a press conference held at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, Alausa.
She said the conference, themed “Anchored in Purpose: Be the Blueprint,” would be particularly significant as it marks the 26th edition of the annual platform.
According to her, it would also be the eighth and final conference under the administration of her husband, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Sanwo-Olu announced that Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, and his Ekiti State counterpart, Biodun Oyebanji, had been invited as Special Guests of Honour at the opening and closing ceremonies of the conference.
Reflecting on her time as chairperson of COWLSO, she described the journey as interesting and educative, saying it had provided opportunities for human capacity development over the last seven years.
She urged whoever succeeds her to continue building on the achievements of the organisation while preserving its history and values.
Sanwo-Olu also advised her successor to always listen to members and remain connected to the communities the organisation serves.
The press briefing also provided an opportunity for COWLSO members to celebrate the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Oluremi Hamzat, who marked her birthday on October 7.
The 2026 National Women’s Conference is expected to bring together women from different sectors for discussions and activities focused on purpose, leadership, personal development and community impact.
