Argentine teenage sensation Franco Mastantuono is set to spend the 2026/27 season on loan at Serie A side Fiorentina after the Italian club reached an agreement with Real Madrid.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development in a post on X on Wednesday, describing the deal as complete.
“BREAKING: Franco Mastantuono on loan to Fiorentina, here we go! Agreement reached with Real Madrid this morning, loan move for the Argentinian talent who joins the Italian club,” Romano wrote.
The move will see the highly-rated midfielder continue his development in Italy after joining the Spanish giants, with Fiorentina securing his services for the upcoming campaign.

Romano added that the arrangement is temporary, with the player expected to return to the Santiago Bernabéu at the end of the loan spell.
“Mastantuono will return to Real Madrid in June 2027,” he added.
The loan is expected to offer the 19-year-old regular first-team football in Serie A as he continues his development before rejoining the La Liga giants next summer.
