The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Edo State Council, will today mark the 2026 May Day celebration at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, beginning at 10 a.m.
The theme of this year’s celebration is “Insecurity, Poverty: The Bane of Decent Work.”
Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, is expected to attend as the Special Guest of Honour.
In a statement, the State Chairman of the NLC, Comrade Bernard Joman Eguakhide, said buses have been stationed at strategic locations across Benin City to convey stakeholders to the venue.
The statement invited all workers in the state, including public and civil servants as well as those in the organised private sector, to attend the event without fail.
