The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief (Barr) Sly Ezeokenwa (Ezenwata Umuchu), has congratulated Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu on her designation as the substantive Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Ezeokenwa described the elevation of the distinguished diplomat and respected APGA Board of Trustees (BoT) member as a well-deserved recognition of her competence, experience, and unwavering commitment to national service.
His congratulatory message was contained in a statement by Dr. Tony Olisa Mbeki, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
He further claimed that her previous role as Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided her with a solid foundation for such higher responsibility.
The APGA boss also expressed profound appreciation to the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for finding Ambassador Odumegwu-Ojukwu worthy of the important national assignment.
Ezeokenwa particularly commended the President for appointing a committed APGA member as the substantive Minister of Foreign Affairs, describing it as a demonstration of inclusive governance and recognition of merit across party lines.
He further noted that the appointment comes at a critical time when Nigeria’s foreign policy architecture requires renewed vigour, strategic engagement, and purposeful diplomacy.
While expressing confidence that she will bring her wealth of experience, diplomatic finesse, and patriotic zeal to bear in advancing Nigeria’s national interest, he noted that; “she will strengthen international partnerships, and protecting the welfare of Nigerians globally.”
He also congratulated Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye on his nomination as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, urging both appointees to work in synergy to reposition Nigeria’s foreign relations for greater impact and global relevance.
