President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Gombe State Governor and Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, on his 65th birthday.
Yahaya clocks 65 on Friday, October 9, 2026.
In a congratulatory message issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu commended the governor for what he described as exemplary leadership and commitment to the development of Gombe State since assuming office in 2019.
The President highlighted Yahaya’s achievements in infrastructure, noting that more than 900 kilometres of roads had been constructed across the state’s 11 Local Government Areas.
He also cited investments in education, including the construction and renovation of hundreds of classrooms and the upgrading of legacy secondary schools.
According to Tinubu, Yahaya’s administration has also strengthened healthcare delivery, with functional Primary Healthcare Centres across all 114 wards and the Go-Health project providing support to vulnerable populations.
The President further commended the governor’s efforts in industrialisation, agriculture and improving the ease of doing business, particularly through projects such as the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park and the Agro-Livestock Development Zone.
Tinubu also praised Yahaya’s leadership of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, saying he had demonstrated an ability to foster unity, build consensus and promote regional cooperation on security, education and economic development.
The President described Yahaya as “a pragmatic progressive” and a committed partner in the Renewed Hope Agenda, adding that his administration had placed the people at the centre of development.
Tinubu prayed that Allah would grant the governor continued good health, wisdom and strength, as well as many more years of impactful service to Gombe State and Nigeria.
