Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has called for stronger transatlantic partnerships to drive trade, innovation and international investment in the state.

Sanwo-Olu made the call in a post on X on Wednesday after joining leaders of the American Business Council Nigeria and The Heritage Foundation at The Wheatbaker Hotel in Lagos, where he delivered a keynote address on building strong transatlantic partnerships.

The governor said Lagos remained the epicentre of trade, innovation and international investment in Nigeria, stressing the need to translate shared objectives between the business community and international partners into tangible opportunities for residents.

He said his administration was committed to creating lasting economic partnerships capable of delivering broad-based benefits to Lagosians.

“We are open and fully committed to building lasting economic bridges that work for everyone,” Sanwo-Olu said.
