Residents of the Fasina area of Ile-Ife, in Ife East Local Government Area of Osun State, have apprehended a woman who allegedly disguised herself as a mentally ill person.
The woman, who identified herself simply as Sayo, was apprehended by residents on Wednesday along the express road in the area.
In a video seen by Osun Defender, the woman was dressed in dirty and tattered clothes and was allegedly behaving like a mentally deranged person when she was noticed.

Upon her apprehension, residents searched her belongings and found an Android phone, identified as a Samsung A07, in her possession.
A school bag and a blade were also reportedly found with her.
When questioned about the phone, the woman allegedly told the residents that it was given to her by a boy.
However, she refused to disclose the identity of the boy or provide further details about him.
Residents also questioned her about where she was coming from.
In response, she allegedly said she was coming from a nearby location where she had gone to get pap.
The circumstances surrounding her presence in the area and the items found in her possession could not be independently established as of the time of filing this report.
The residents have, however, appealed to members of the community to remain vigilant and pay attention to unusual behaviour around their neighbourhood.
They also urged residents to promptly report suspicious persons or activities to the appropriate security agencies rather than taking the law into their own hands.
