“Really Sad”- Yul Edochie Calls Out Those Using Phones In Church

  • He shared his concerns on social media, highlighting the distraction caused by phone usage.
  • Edochie questioned the appropriateness of this habit during Mass or church services.

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has criticised churchgoers who constantly use their mobile phones during church services.

The actor expressed his displeasure in a post shared on his social media page, where he questioned the habit of using phones while Mass or church service is ongoing.

According to Yul, spending just an hour away from a mobile phone should not be difficult, especially when attending a church service. He compared the situation to visits to high-ranking government officials, noting that people would willingly surrender their phones when meeting a governor or president.

Yul argued that the same level of respect should be shown while worshipping God and listening to His word.

He wrote:

“It’s sad seeing people who go to church and be pressing their phones inside the church while mass or service is going on.

You mean you can’t stay off your phone for an hour in respect to God?

If you go to see a Governor or President, your phones will be taken from you for hours and you’ll be ok with it.

But while you’re in the presence of our Creator, you can’t put off your phone and listen to His word?

Really sad”.
