The leadership of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatis Sunnah, JIBWIS Nigeria, has mourned the death of the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Shariah in Nigeria, Malam Nafiu Baba Ahmad.
In a condolence message on Tuesday, the National Chairman of JIBWIS, Sheikh Dr. Abdullahi Bala Lau, said the cleric’s death is a great loss to his family and the Muslim Ummah.
“Indeed, the death of Malam Nafi’u is a great loss to his family, his community and the Islamic religion in general. We believe this is Allah’s decree, and every soul shall taste death,” he said.
Sheikh Lau prayed for Allah to forgive the deceased, shower abundant mercy on him and make Aljannatul Firdaus his final abode.
He also prayed for fortitude for his family, relatives, friends and the Muslim community to bear the loss.
