The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, has visited the Sam Ethnan Air Force Base, Lagos, to commiserate with the Nigerian Air Force over the death of crew members and passengers in the 931 aircraft accident at Igbokoda, Ondo State.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, the visit was described as a show of solidarity and sympathy with the Nigerian Air Force and the families of the deceased.
Fatai paid the condolence visit to the Commander, 651 Base, Air Commodore M. A. Imam, where he expressed sympathy over the tragic incident.

The Commissioner of Police prayed for “strength and comfort for the bereaved families, colleagues and the entire Nigerian Air Force community.”

The visit, according to the statement, was also aimed at reaffirming the Lagos State Police Command’s solidarity with the Nigerian Air Force and other sister security agencies.

Fatai stressed the importance of continued inter-agency cooperation and mutual support, particularly in the face of difficult moments such as the aircraft accident.
The Lagos State Police Command said the visit underscored the need for security agencies to stand together in support of one another and affected families during periods of tragedy.
