“8yrs ago
Tomorrow makes it 8 whole years since I walked down the aisle and married the man my heart desired. Eight years since my dream wedding. Eight years since I said “I do” to my best decision till this very moment.
And honestly… the nostalgia!
I look back at that young bride, at that beautiful day, at all the dreams and expectations we had, and my heart is filled with so much gratitude. Because somehow, through every season, God has been faithful to us.
I am happy.
I am loved.
I am at peace.
And most importantly, I am grateful.
I am grateful to build a life with my husband, @okikiafolayan. I am grateful that I get to make him happy, and that he continues to choose me, love me, support me and walk this journey with me every single day.
In these 8 years, we have built our little family, created memories, experienced different seasons, grown individually and together, and started building an empire that is ours. We are still dreaming, still working, still learning, still building, and still looking forward to everything the future holds for us.
And that is one of the most beautiful things about our marriage: we are not done.
We are only getting started. 🥂
Eight years later, I can confidently say that I have everything I prayed for and so much more. Not because everything has been perfect, but because through it all, I have had a partner, a best friend, a home, a family and a love that gives me peace.
I am grateful for this peace.
I am grateful for the love I am assured of every day.
I am grateful for the laughter, the memories, the lessons, the growth and even the challenges that have made us stronger”.
