The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Rwandan referee Aline Umotoni to officiate Wednesday’s TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Group C match between Nigeria and Egypt in Rabat.

CAF announced the appointment in a post on its official X handle ahead of the crucial encounter, scheduled to kick off at 9:00 p.m. local time at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.

Umotoni will be assisted by fellow Rwandan Alice Umutesi as Assistant Referee 1, while Cameroon’s Ngarassoum Victorine will serve as Assistant Referee 2.

Kenya’s Josphine Wanjiku has been named the fourth official, with compatriot Elizabeth Njoroge serving as the reserve assistant referee.

For the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) team, Kenya’s Peter Waweru will oversee the technology, while Rwanda’s Salima Mukansanga has been appointed Assistant Video Assistant Referee (AVAR).

Nigeria head into the match seeking victory to secure a place in the quarter-finals, while Egypt will be aiming to keep their qualification hopes alive.
