The management of Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has appealed for restraint amid ongoing public discussions involving members of the Okoye family.

In an official statement issued by Fire Department Inc., on Thursday, the singer’s management said personal and family issues should be handled with dignity and respect, adding that it would not engage in public exchanges over allegations surrounding the matter.

The management acknowledged the public interest generated by recent developments involving the Okoye family but said its focus remained on Rudeboy’s music career and relationship with his fans.

“While we understand the public interest, we believe that personal and family matters are best handled with dignity, respect, and responsibility. We will not be drawn into an exchange of allegations or commentary that distracts from the work, the fans, and the music,” the statement read.

The management said Rudeboy remained committed to his craft and appreciated the continued support from fans in Nigeria, Africa and beyond.

The management highlighted the success of his latest project, “Blessed & Alive” featuring Sarkodie, describing fans’ support as instrumental to the growth of the song.

“Rudeboy remains fully committed to his craft and deeply grateful for the unwavering support he continues to receive from fans across Nigeria, Africa, and the rest of the world,” the statement added.

It urged fans, media organisations and members of the public to avoid spreading unverified information, stressing the need to rely on confirmed details rather than rumours and online commentary.

“We respectfully ask our supporters, media partners, and the public to allow space for professionalism and mutual respect. We encourage everyone to avoid speculation and to rely on verified information rather than rumors or online commentary,” the management said.

The singer’s management said its responsibility was to protect Rudeboy’s artistic journey and ensure that he remained focused on creating music and delivering performances for his global audience.

The statement comes amid renewed tensions between Peter and Jude Okoye, with Mr P making a series of allegations concerning the handling of P-Square’s affairs, finances and properties following the group’s split.
