The Oyo State Fire Services has rescued a 26-year-old man trapped inside a 78 feet deep well at Seriki Ashipa Majaopo, Ajia Village in Ibadan.
The Agency’s Chairman, Mr Moroof Akinwande, in a statement made available to newsmen, on Wednesday in Ibadan, said that incident occurred on Tuesday at 9:50p.m.
Moroof said that the agency’s personnel got a distress call from one Alesinloye Ajibola and swiftly deployed personnel to the location, led by CFS Adesina.
“We quickly swung into action with specialised rescue equipment, rescued the victim alive and handed him over to a team of policemen from Akanran Police Divisional Headquarters led by ASP Agboola Babatunde,” he said.
The chairman advised residents in Oyo State not to hesitate, but promptly alert the fire service whenever there was any emergency and provide correct address of the location.(NAN)
