A middle-aged man has openly criticised the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, accusing him of focusing development projects in his hometown of Ede while allegedly neglecting Osogbo, the state capital.
In a video posted on his TikTok account with the handle Ifedayo O, and sighted by HERALDSUN, the man questioned the governor’s developmental priorities, arguing that Ede had witnessed massive transformation under Adeleke’s administration compared to Osogbo.
“Between Osogbo and Ede, which one is the state capital? You focused on Ede, your hometown, and made it similar to global standard,” he said.
Ifedayo further claimed that aside from the construction of one bridge in Osogbo and the completion of an unfinished road project initiated during the administration of former governor Rauf Aregbesola, the Adeleke administration had done little in the state capital.
“Aside from only constructing one bridge in Osogbo and the unfinished road project during former Governor Aregbesola’s era that you completed, name another thing you did in Osogbo,” he added.
The man also issued a stern warning to Adeleke ahead of the next governorship election, urging him not to seek a second term in office.
“Governor Nuru Jackson, we don’t want you for second term. That’s the absolute truth before you start threatening us with DSS. Don’t bother to waste your money, don’t bother to share money or campaign because we won’t vote for you. We are going to vote whoever we like in Osun State,” he declared.
He also took a swipe at former governor and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, warning him against considering another governorship bid in the state.
The video has since sparked reactions on social media, with users expressing divergent opinions over the claims and criticisms directed at the governor.
