Activist Deji Adeyanju has made allegations against former Anambra State governor Peter Obi, claiming that he placed state funds in a bank where he had personal interests.
The lawyer made the claim during a recent appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast, alongside Senator Shehu Sani.

In his account, Deji Adeyanju opined that Peter Obi had placed Anambra state money into a popular Nigerian bank, where he supposedly had interest in.
He opined that the motive is as clear to anybody, even to his seven-year-old son, that the reason for doing so was for his own personal interests.

His words in part …
“Instead of using State Money to work for his people, he kept his state’s money in a bank that he had interests in, even my seven-year-old son knows that it is for his interest”
Recall that it is widely reported that when Peter Obi left office as the Governor of Anambra State in March 2014, he claimed to have left behind savings of over ₦75 billion in cash and investments.
